1. Who is responsible
Bainbridge Services (company number I25008115), of 30 Calodyne Bungalows, St Francois, Mauritius 31726, is the controller of the personal data described here, which is about the people who have an account with Rapid Store and visit this website. Contact: admin@rapidstore.net.
When you run a shop, the personal data of your customers (their orders, bookings and messages) is yours. You are the controller and we are your processor, storing and processing it on your instructions to run your shop. Each shop is kept in its own database and file storage, separate from every other shop.
2. What we collect and why
| What | Why | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address, name and password (stored only as a hash), and two-factor details if you turn them on | To create your account, sign you in and keep it secure | Contract |
| The details you give about your shop: name, country, time zone, address, phone number, domains | To build and run your shop and show it to your visitors | Contract |
| Subscription details: that you subscribe, which plan, the status and the dates, and the identifiers Paddle gives us. We never see your card number. | To know whether your shop is paid for | Contract |
| Your IP address, browser details and server logs | To keep the service secure, limit abuse (including checking that sign-in, sign-up and password-reset requests come from a person) and fix faults | Legitimate interests |
| Messages you send us, and the emails we send you about your account, trial and billing | To support you and to tell you things you need to know | Contract and legitimate interests |
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising. This website sets only the cookies it needs to work (see Cookies, which is generated from the site itself).
3. Who else handles it
- Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, takes payment and issues invoices. It is a controller of the payment data you give it, under its own privacy notice.
- Our hosting provider, where the platform and every shop run, and where the nightly backups are stored.
- An off-site backup provider, which holds a copy of those backups.
- Cloudflare, whose Turnstile check runs on the sign-in, sign-up and password-reset forms to tell people from automated traffic. Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser details when the form loads, under its own privacy policy.
- Our email delivery provider, which sends the emails above.
- Our DNS and certificate provider, which sees the shop addresses it resolves.
They may only use the data to provide their service to us. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
4. Where it is stored
The platform is hosted in South Africa. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, that means your data is transferred outside it; we do that in line with applicable data protection law.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account data while you have an account. If a shop is deleted (see the Terms), we first email you an export, and then delete it. Nightly backups are removed on a rolling schedule after that. Paddle keeps payment and invoice records for as long as tax law requires.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to someone else. You can export everything about your shop yourself, at any time. To use any of these rights, email admin@rapidstore.net. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
7. Security
Every shop runs in its own isolated environment. Traffic uses HTTPS, passwords are hashed, secrets are encrypted at rest, and staff sign-in to our operations screens requires two-factor authentication.
8. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters to you, we will tell you before it applies. The date at the top is when it last changed.
